In order to keep your website secure, these updates must be addressed in a timely manner. Leaving your website unmaintained for too long puts it at risk for compromise.
At Violet Webworks, we aim to keep plugins to a minimum and use high quality, reliable code for speed and security. Some of our frequently used plugins have annual licensing to ensure the most recent security and feature updates. The cost for using these can be covered under a care and maintenance plan, or you can choose to manage the licensing yourself.

The WordPress website content management system enables you, and your team to manage your own website content, which can include – text, pictures, calendars, forms and social feeds. Modern website design platforms are built around the idea that the owner of the site wants to be able to make changes, and additions to the content themselves, without having to rely on a “webmaster”.

Do it yourself, or set it and forget it?
Some clients want comprehensive support, either because they don’t have time, or they are not comfortable. We offer ongoing content management, and design services, as well as handling the technical side of things (backups, server and domain management, licensing, updates) so you can focus on your day-to-day business.
We also offer training and orientation for clients who are not familiar with WordPress or Shopify and want to feel confident in managing their site. Our maintenance plans start at $450/yr, and can be customized to fit your needs.
